A Cast Iron Grill Is Great For Camping Or Backyard Fun.

If you are in a fix for a backyard bbq and don't want to invest a fortune for a gas grill, try a cast iron grill to cook your next meat entree. Small but durable, this little iron power cooker can produce an even heat that cooks consistently and adds a great flavor to any food. It's an awesome camp stove, and can be used where campfires are restricted. Using wood or charcoal, you can soon have those favorite steaks sizzling on the grill, and not have to worry about that smoky dowsing of the flames.

You can find a cast iron grill, called a sportman's grill, from Lodge manufacturing, along with other cast iron cookware to accomodate your cooking needs. The grill has ample room for cooking and heating meats and sides, and the total weight is about 30 lbs., so there's no problem with wind or accidental tipping. In chilly weather, the grill makes for a great warmer on those cold hands and feet, and if the heat gets low, you can feed the fire through small doors on the side that open without disturbing the food above. And for transportation, it comes with a heavy bail wire large and strong enough to move even while cooking.

Very helpful to the cooking process, is to season the grill plates so they don't stick to food. Seasoning cast iron is a simple process, giving the iron surface a slick, durable coating that will add continued flavor and ease of use to your grill for a lifetime of fun cuisine in the backyard, or the camp kitchen. So don't be timid; try one at your next outdoor event!
